Provenance of these texts

Every book here is in the public domain in the United States. The texts come from Project Gutenberg, whose volunteers have transcribed and proofread them since 1971. As Gutenberg's license allows for public-domain works, we removed its license header and the "Project Gutenberg" trademark from the reading copy. Each book links back to its Gutenberg source page. Translations are public domain only where the translation itself is. The reader typesets the plain text, so the original formatting, footnotes and illustrations may be simplified.

Fonts: Literata, Inter Tight and JetBrains Mono (SIL OFL 1.1). The reader is adapted from ReadEZ.
